Oral Activators can be used to Improve the Dental Bite and Alignment
The dental alignment (occlusion) can impact the overall health of the
entire spine. Changes that occur through tooth loss or modification of
the teeth (e.g., fillings, crowns, orthodontics, partials, bridgework
etc) can throw the cervical, thoracic and lumbar vertebrae out of
alignment, placing tension in the muscles (hypertonicity) and fascia.
Oral Activators can be used in selective cases to improve the occlusion. These activators work via the same principles as Proprioceptive Insoles (e.g., activating mechanical receptors, which in turn, send patterns of stimulation to the cerebellum).
Sodis APF. Oral activators can be used to balance the occlusion (bite).
Photos taken before and six months after the use of an oral activator. Note the improved bite and dental alignment.
