Cuernavaca Study
Pressure plate analysis using Rothbart Proprioceptive Insoles

When the intensity of stimulation (to the bottom of the foot) is correct, Pressure Plate Readings will shift towards homeostasis:

Bracers: sA readings increase, mP readings decrease
Releasers: sA readings decrease, mP readings increase

When the intensity of stimulation (to the bottom of the foot) is not correct, Pressure Plate Readings will shift away from homeostasis:

In Bracers: sA readings may decrease, and/or mP readings may increase
In Releasers: sA readings may increase, and/or mP readings may decrease

Patients with Descending Postural Distortional Patterns (e.g., resulting from cranial or occlusal imbalances, iatrogenic orthodontic or bridge work) may skew the Pressure Plate Readings away from homeostasis, even when the intensity of stimulation to the bottom of the foot is correct.
