The design of the soft orthosis or hard orthotic is very
different from the design of the Rothbart Proprioceptive insole (See below).
Example of a proprioceptive insole (bottom left) versus a soft orthosis (top left). Hard orthotics (photo right), are frequently prescribed by Podiatrists.
I
designed two specific types of proprioceptive insoles (that now bare my
name) to treat either the Rothbarts Foot or the PreClinical Clubfoot
Deformity.
These insoles are not interchangable. That is, if the insole I
designed to treat the Rothbarts Foot is used to treat the PreClinical
Clubfoot Deformity, the results will be disappointing.
The area of
stimulation built into these proprioceptive insole are prescribed in
increments of 0.5mm.
