Uneven Heel Wear Pattern

Uneven heel wear patterns are a common finding in patients having Rothbarts Foot.  This uneven heel wear pattern may be visualized when the shoes are placed on a flat surface: the shoes lean inward (See Animation below).

Pictures of the right shoe were taken at 4 weeks and then again
at 3 months, from a patient having Rothbarts Foot.  Note the
increased inward lean of the shoe.

Placing Rothbart Proprioceptive Insoles in shoes that have a consumed (uneven) heel wear pattern can distort the proprioceptive signal and dramatically decrease the effectiveness of the insoles.
